Hi Victoria, thank you for joining us today!
• Let’s start with your journey. How did you become a Singer/Songwriter?
For me songwriting started out in my childhood, around the age of six. I never knew what the songs came from, but I loved channeling the music and instantly realized that this would be a lifelong love relationship.
• What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in your music career?
To stay detached from the outcome and keep creating in an honest way. There are so many times when taking the easier road seems smarter. But art has never been about making the right choice, it’s about consciousness and finding what lies beyond our perception.
• How would you describe your music style?
Kaleidoscopical. We are not one thing, I simply refuse to be compromised into one thing.
• Can you tell us about your latest EP "Snowflakes Fall" with Bandulu Dub?
Working with Bandulu Dub is always exciting, and receiving new backtracks is like hearing from an old friend. This time the track expressed some pain and it came naturally to write about our longing for peace. War is such a thing of the past and it’s hard sometimes to digest that we still can’t get along and share the space and resources on this planet.
• This EP have a remixes from No Name Dub from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dub For Light from New Jersey, USA. Dubus from Tijuana, México and Manwel T from Malta. How did this multifaceted and dynamic idea of creating several versions with musicians from different corners of the World?
I have to tip the hat. Bandulu Dub has traveled the world as a DJ, and connecting to other people seems like second nature to him. There are so many layers and textures in his tracks, I can imagine it being great fun to remix them.
• What can fans expect from you in the future?
I will release a new album this spring. Creating it was a vulnerable and naked process, and I am looking forward to sharing the result. Of course, there’s also always room for more collaborations.
Thank you for sharing your insights, Victoria!
Wishing great success in her career.
